Statutory Wills in the Court of Protection

I’d just like to say a big thank you for giving me the confidence to continue my challenge the council’s attempts to extract top-up fees from me. I have been badgering them this morning, and they have finally agreed to increase their contribution by a further 50% and the rest is to be made up by the care home itself which is a charity.

I’m still pretty mad with the council for even trying it on, and they still haven’t admitted to avoiding their obligations, but it’s a good outcome for me and my dad. It’s just a terrible shame that other people who are not as tenacious as me, or who don’t have the confidence to challenge the council, will continue to be duped.
