What's my role?

My role involves assisting solicitors, legal executives and conveyancers with property transactions in the Residential Property team. I liaise with solicitors, mortgage lenders, governmental agencies to progress transactions.

A standard day in the Residential Property team involves; drafting and issuing contract documents, assisting clients with queries on the transaction process, preparing for completion, logging correspondence, processing payments, submitting local searches, submitting applications for registration with the Land Registry and drafting letters relating to exchange and completion.

I help clients by explaining the next steps in the transaction and provide regular updates. My role involves making clients aware of what is required from them. I liaise with all parties in order to progress the transaction. I support the solicitors with all aspects of a sale and purchase and I am direct point of contact for clients if they have any questions.

My experience

I graduated from Bournemouth University in 2016 with a first class degree in Law (LLB). I obtained a distinction on the Legal Practice Course at The University of Law in Guildford. I am starting a training contract with Coffin Mew soon.

I have two years’ experience in the New Homes team in Portsmouth and I have a comprehensive understanding of new build property transactions.

I spent 6 months in the Residential Property team in Brighton in 2019 before returning to university to study on the Legal Practice Course. I re-joined the Residential Property team in August 2020.
