What's your role?

Helping clients with their house purchases and related sales or part-exchanges, particularly specialising in new build properties.

I have a thorough knowledge of government funded initiatives such as FirstBuy, NewBuy and Help to Buy and liaise effectively with third parties, such as developers, housing associations, mortgage brokers and estate agents, to ensure the smooth and efficient running of transactions.

I am involved in new build development site set ups and also assist clients with other property related transactions such as remortgages, transfers of equity and the redemption of second charges, particularly Help to Buy loans.

Your experience

I studied an Accounting and Finance degree at Exeter University before going on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at Bournemouth University.

For two years previous to starting my Training Contract with Coffin Mew I worked in the New Homes Department as a Conveyancing Executive.

During my Training Contract I worked within the Wills, Trusts & Probate, Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence, Insolvency & Business Recovery and New Homes Departments for 6 months each.

I am now a qualified solicitor in the New Homes Department.

The head of the New Homes team is Karen Webb
