What's your role?

I provide practical and solution focussed advice on commercial freehold and leasehold sales and acquisitions, development and construction law acting for businesses, individuals, investors, funders, local authorities and pension funds. I also work particularly closely with my colleagues in our commercial and corporate teams to provide support on their transactions.

I am known for my commercial and diligent approach to matters and am friendly and easy to talk to. My aim is to provide clients with a clear understanding of the technical issues involved in a transaction and equip them with the information to take the decisions required without lots of legal jargon. I like to develop a close relationship with my client from the outset and get a thorough understanding of their business and objectives

I am a member of the firm’s cross practice Technology sector team. The team help fast growth/scale up businesses and large companies in the tech sector with all their legal issues.

Your experience

Before qualifying as a solicitor, I was a research scientist within the Space Department at DERA (now Qinetiq). Obviously a very technical industry and I tried my best to make complex algorithms and theories understandable to those without a technical background. Hopefully something that has followed me into my legal career.

I completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and LPC at Guildford College of Law. I qualified as a commercial property solicitor in 2007 and joined Coffin Mew as an Associate Solicitor in January 2016.
