What's my role?

I am currently in my third training seat with the Family team.

I support the Family team in relation to a variety of matters. These may be clients who are going through the difficult process of a divorce or separation or even disputes concerning child arrangements. This involves providing help, advice and guidance on how to progress their matter in the most cost effective and painless manner as possible.

I enjoy building both a friendly and professional relationship with our clients, whilst making sure that their matter is dealt with thoroughly.

My experience

I graduated from the University of Surrey with a 2.1 in Law and International Relations in 2017. Following this, I studied the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford.

The first seat of my training contract with Coffin Mew involved working closely with the specialist Court of Protection team. I supported solicitors and those appointed as Deputy to make decisions on behalf of clients who lacked the capacity to do so themselves. I also worked as part of a team instructed by the Panel Deputy to manage the matters of clients with complex financial circumstances and care needs.

Further to this, I have spent a significant period of time working as part of the New Homes team, assisting solicitors and conveyancing executives with the progression of new-build purchases and related sale transactions. I have a comprehensive understanding of property matters and consider this fundamental when advising family clients on a variety of complex matters such as high value assets and the consequential legal issues that may arise where a relationship has broken down.
