Your role?

As part of the Court of Protection team, my daily tasks vary. I support a broad range of individuals who all have varying needs. From working with clients who have suffered injuries resulting from medical negligence, to those who live with mental illnesses or dementia, I enjoy providing a personal service by getting to know these clients, their friends and family. During my time in the team, I have:

  • Assisted my colleagues and those appointed as Deputy to make decisions on behalf of clients who lack capacity to do so themselves.
  • Helped with the investigation of allegations of financial abuse of vulnerable clients, especially where there has been a revocation of a Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Made applications to the Court of Protection to appoint both Property & Financial Affairs and Health and Welfare Deputies.

Your experience

I graduated from the University of Surrey with a 2.1 in Law and International Relations. Following this, I studied the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford. During my education, I was an active participant of the Law Society and a member of YRES for Family Law.

I am also a qualified British Gymnastics Trampoline Coach! During my final year at University I specialised in trampoline and gymnastic coaching at a volunteer club for children with behavioural disorders and disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy.
