What's your role?

I help clients with difficulties surrounding relationship breakdowns to include advising on separation, divorce and civil partnership dissolution, matrimonial finances and arrangements for children.

I chose family law because I enjoy maintaining long term relationships with my clients and helping them in one of the most stressful times in their lives. I am very client focused and value the importance of explaining the law in plain English to clients. I am an active member of Resolution, which is a family lawyer organisation committed to dealing with matters in a constructive, non-confrontational and cost effective way.

Your experience?

I have a degree in Politics from Cardiff University and completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at Bournemouth University.
I have worked on the South Coast for many years, firstly as a Paralegal with Lamport Bassitt for three years, before I completed my training contract with Pitmans LLP. I then qualified as a Solicitor in 2016 and worked for nearly two years in a local family firm Sousa Law in Southampton.
My experience mainly has concentrated on divorce and negotiating financial settlements, both drafting Consent Orders and assisting clients through Financial Remedy Proceedings. I also have advised on cohabitation disputes, separation, private children disputes and changes of name.
