What's your role?
Elizabeth Gibbons is Operations Manager and provides operational management support to the Commercial Property team and the firm’s central Operations Team.
I started out working as a secretary in Corporate for a small law firm in London and stayed there for 18 years as it grew from strength to strength. I then decided to take some time out and travelled around Europe in a campervan for 6 months. Once back I picked up a Commercial Property job working in a local firm in Brighton where I worked for 7 years before relocating to Crawley for another 7. I felt it was time for a change and moved to Coffin Mew in Portsmouth, working on various projects for the management team, as well as keeping my hand in with a little Commercial Property work. Having worked in the Portsmouth office for 4 months, Coffin Mew then opened up a Brighton office, which I transferred to and became the Office Manager of. This involved me dealing with a lot of different aspects of work, which was both challenging and fun. Ready for a new challenge, I secured the role of Operations Manager for the Commercial Property team, giving assistance to them in relation to financial performance, compliance, marketing and business development, and team supervisor to the Commercial Property support team.
The team is particularly good at assisting in complex or unusual property development deals. They are one of the most approachable firms, very down-to-earth, but look at the wider picture.”
