What's your role?
Elizabeth Gibbons is the office manager of the Brighton office. She also assists with some residential and commercial property matters and a little employment work.
I started my career working in London, just by St Paul’s Cathedral, and never did get around to having a look inside. I worked in the corporate department of a small law firm, who have since changed their name many times due to mergers with other firms. After 18 years there, watching the firm grow from strength to strength, I decided it was time to stop commuting and, after 6 months travelling around Europe in a campervan, got a local job. I then worked in Brighton, in commercial property, for 7 years and was subsequently relocated to Crawley, where I was promoted to Support Supervisor and continued working there for another 7 years. Time for a change. I moved to Coffin Mew, where I diversified somewhat by commuting to Portsmouth and working on various projects for the management team, as well as keeping my hand in with a little commercial property work. Having worked in their Portsmouth office for 4 months Coffin Mew then opened up a Brighton office, which I transferred to and became the office manager of. This has involved me in dealing with a lot of different aspects of work, which has been both challenging and fun.
