What's your role?

I am a Solicitor in the Wills, Trusts & Probate Team.

I prepare Wills for clients from a variety of backgrounds and with varying priorities as to how they wish estate to be distributed on their death.

I ensure that clients are aware of alternative Wills which they may not have previously considered and explain the implications of their thinking where they are in second marriages or wish to plan for long term care. I am also able to assist with inheritance tax planning.

I can advise upon, prepare and register Lasting Powers of Attorney for both Health and Welfare and Property and Financial Affairs.

I can also be instructed to assist with the administrations of estates, whether it be on a Grant only basis or full administration.

As part of the administration of the estate or as a standalone service, I can prepare a Deed of Variation to ‘re-write’ the Will of the deceased.

Your experience

I completed my Legal Practice Course with Distinction in 2015 having converted to a law degree at the University of Law. I graduated in 2004 with a Masters in Criminal Justice Studies from the University of Portsmouth.

I carried out my training with a local firm in Portsmouth, qualifying as a Solicitor in February 2017.
