Swindon ‘one of the best places to work in the UK’
Swindon has been ranked one of the best places to work in the UK according to Glassdoor, and it’s easy to see why, says Heidi Clements of Coffin Mew.
Glassdoor saw Swindon move up the ranks from 10th in 2016 to 4th position this year. It found that overall job satisfaction was ranked of 3.4 out of 5 and the town was rated 3.9 out of 5 for job prospects.
The median property value in Swindon is £248,514 and Swindon was recently reported as being a town that would outperform the rest of the UK in terms of increasing property values.
It is reported that Swindon Borough Council is currently investing around £750m in its regeneration programme, which is an exciting prospect for the town. Development in the area includes revamping of the Carriage Works and Swindon’s railway heritage.
Swindon’s transport links also provide great commuting opportunities. There are 3 to 4 trains an hour to London and the journey takes just over one hour.
Charles Lucas & Marshall merged with Coffin Mew this year and have offices across the Thames Valley, including in Swindon.
