This, the second acquisition involving Coffin Mew, capitalised upon their specialism in the recruitment sector. The amalgamation of 1-1 Recruitment with The Vacancy Management Company Limited combines their respective specialisms in placing employees in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
Launched in 2000 by Managing Director Helen Floor, 1-1 Recruitment has grown over the last 15 years to become one of the most prominent and successful recruitment agencies in the region. In 2008 the organisation acquired Resource Recruitment (Fleet) and Sally Hawke Recruitment (Andover). In 2010 they expanded further with the acquisition of P & D Employment (Winchester) and 2012 with the acquisition of White Knight Recruitment. With offices now in Winchester and Basingstoke, the staff pride themselves on delivering a dedicated and hands-on service to enhance the chances of matching the right talent with the best opportunities.
Coffin Mew acted for the buyers in the process and were involved with the due diligence and acquisition work. Amanda Brockwell, Coffin Mew’s Head of Recruitment and Head of Corporate was supported by Corporate specialist Jenny Packer and Employment Associate Tabytha Cunningham. Amanda commented that “We are proud of our long-standing relationship with Helen and the 1-1 Recruitment team. Seeing and contributing to their continued growth over the years highlights the strength of their management team and their ability to navigate what can be a challenging market. We see this step as another on their journey to become the South’s premier recruitment specialist.“
1-1 Recruitment’s Helen Floor said:
Amanda’s team shone throughout as their project management and ability to sense check our plans to achieve a successful conclusion. We aim to be the major specialist in Hampshire.
