Coffin Mew advises on acquisition of Skylark Golf & Country Club

The Corporate team at Coffin Mew has advised Skylark Golf & Country Club Limited on its acquisition of the Club in Whiteley.

The transfer completed on 1 September when managing director, Dan Richards, and his team took charge. Since then, changes have been taking place at a rapid pace, with the new owners already applying for planning permission for a new Pro Shop and Sports Bar and the purchase of a new fleet of buggies, along with improvements to the changing rooms.

The Corporate aspects of the transaction were dealt with by Nick Gross, who also drew on support from our Commercial Property and Employment teams.

Nick said:

We were delighted to have assisted Skylark with this acquisition, and we wish Dan and his team every success. Some of my team have already become members at the Club!

Surrounded by Hampshire countryside, the 18 hole, par 70 course boasts defined holes that offer some excellent opportunities for birdies as well as providing some testing tee shots, whilst the gym offers an ideal environment to get your exercise regime underway, or to develop it some more! There are also fitness classes available 7 days a week, which include yoga, circuits, Pilates and body combat. At the Spa you will find a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and four treatment rooms.
