Coffin Mew advises JDI Investments on its acquisition of stake in Jessie and James

Coffin Mew Solicitors has advised JDI Investments on its acquisition of a 25% stake in children’s fashion brand Jessie and James.

Jessie and James was founded by James New and Jessica Richard, who met whilst both working for Vivienne Westwood’s London Studio. Their collections – which are for girls and boys from 12 months to 11 years – can be found in some of the most prestigious department stores including Liberty London, Harvey Nichols, Mitsukoshi, Isetan and Hankyu Japan. The clothing has also been featured in magazines such as Tatler and Vogue and both Kourtney Kardashian’s and Jodie Kidd’s children have been seen in Jessie and James. The investment will help Jessie and James to develop its business and take it to the next stage, including a move to new premises to be provided by JDI Investments.

Nick Gross at Coffin Mew advised JDI Investments Limited.

Shelley White of Verisona Law advised the existing shareholders of Jessie and James Limited.
