I was delighted to have worked with a great Corporate and Employment team at Coffin Mew in our merger with Vail Williams. Led by Hayley Bevis, the team was highly responsive and very thorough, delivering pragmatic, commercially focussed advice within a tight transaction timescale. A pleasure to work with.

With the assistance of Coffin Mew plus the other parties, what could have been a challenging acquisition became a smooth purchase. With their guidance and advice from the initial question of “what if” through the negotiation, the team were there all the time with answers and advice, which is just what we needed.
I have used Coffin Mew for a number of years and have always been impressed by their professionalism and client care.
Dealing with Hayley Bevis and her team on this specific project was an absolute pleasure.
It was a rather complex issue encompassing a number of companies and professionals in several different countries. Hayley negotiated all of this exceptionally well on our behalf, with all of the different requirements and jurisdictional issues. Always available to chat, and with a practical as well as legal hat on, Hayley made a very stressful situation very easy to negotiate. On several occasions Hayley worked into the early hours of the morning on our behalf when deadlines demanded it.
Hayley has a cool head and is exceptionally good at negotiating with multiple parties to ensure her clients get the best possible outcome. I was very pleased Hayley was working for our side.
We concluded our negotiations successfully and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. This would not have been possible without Hayley and her excellent team at Coffin Mew
Coffin Mew recently advised the shareholders of DV02 Limited on the sale of its entire issued share capital to Daisy Group, a leader in the IT and telecoms marketplace.
Steve Tutt of DVo2 said:
I cannot speak highly enough of the effort that everyone involved in the deal at Coffin Mew put in. The due diligence process was extremely comprehensive and Coffin Mew’s involvement was invaluable – not only because the legal foundation they’d helped us develop for our business ensured a clean bill of health – but because of their breadth of expertise they had to support us with the transaction. The tight timescale required much work outside of business hours, which Hayley and her team were always happy to accommodate.
Coffin Mew advised Bargate Homes with its significant fundraise to enable it to become the credible alternative to larger residential development companies. Prowting Investments took equity and mezzanine funding and NatWest provided a large facility to enable Bargate to deliver on larger development acquisitions and opportunities.
