Would you like to experience what it’s like to be a Trainee Solicitor?

We are now accepting applications for 2021 Training Contracts, Open Day 2019 and Vacation Scheme 2019

 Apply here

Open Day

Our Open Day is a great opportunity to visit our company HQ and to give prospective legal professionals a “behind the scenes” insight into the life of a lawyer at a large regional law firm. You will get the chance to meet with our current trainees in a Q&A session and a chance to speak with some of our partners and solicitors.

You will gain an insight into our training contracts from the Training Partner, Amanda Read, and a detailed overview of the firm from HR.

Vacation Scheme

Our one week paid vacation scheme offers you the opportunity to have some direct client experience shadowing our trainee solicitors and assisting with day to day tasks. The scheme gives you a unique level of insight into the day to day workings of a law firm, from breakfast with the CEO and attending management board meetings to working directly on client matters, you’ll be able to get a taste of life at Coffin Mew.

Across the week you’ll also have opportunities to meet our current trainees, attend social and networking events and have the chance to present directly to our partners and CEO. We encourage you to get as much out of the experience as possible as it could lead to you being invited back to our assessment day or provide a fast track straight on to one of our training contracts. Our vacation scheme week is scheduled to take place from 10th June to 14th June 2019.

When should you apply? Applications are open now and will close on the 1st April 2019.

Coffin Mew made a conscious effort to include us in socials and ensure that the vac schemers met up and got to know some of the current trainees and members of staff. Building relationships with people who have been in the same shoes as me and sharing experiences whilst getting some wise words of advice for the training contract assessment centre was priceless. I definitely felt like I was part of the firm already! My biggest advice for people doing the vacation scheme… Even though it sounds cliché, the best thing you can do is to be yourself. Honesty and sincerity always wins. Following the open day and vac scheme I secured myself a training contract and can’t wait to join the firm in 2020!
