Coffin Mew celebrates success at strategy day
Scores of high performing partners, associates and support staff were recognised for their productivity and contribution to exceptional levels of client service, when the whole firm came together to celebrate success and hear about the plans for the year ahead at the latest firmwide strategy day.
In the largest firm gathering to date, CEO Miles Brown gave the packed auditorium an update on the firm’s strong financial performance. He also gave an overview of Coffin Mew’s new business strategy for growth, focused on bringing the best people together with innovation to deliver great results for every client.

We have an ambitious strategy for growth for the year ahead, which puts our people at the forefront to deliver exceptional results for each and every one of our clients. Miles and his team leaders updated everyone on the firm’s new focus on four key client sectors: Agriculture & Rural Business, Care & Protection, Real Estate and Technology.
New client wins, client testimonials and exciting new projects highlighted the firm’s commitment and expertise in these key markets.
The strategy for the year ahead centres around a ‘Best People Deal’ containing promises made to employees in return for their delivery of great results for every client.
HR Director Liz Cheaney unveiled a suite of employee benefits at the event, a highly attractive package to reward and retain the very best talent in the region, which goes far beyond the standard offering in the area.
The package puts gender equality and agile working at the forefront, which includes innovative provisions for flexible working, enhanced pension provisions and forward-thinking maternity and paternity packages. The offering demonstrates that the firm is serious about challenging the status quo in the legal sector, by creating a diverse firm, bringing the very best people together for the benefit of their clients.
