Coffin Mew announces staff appointments and promotions

Coffin Mew has appointed new partners and an associate solicitor, as well as promoting another five team members to more senior positions.

Coffin Mew, recently placed eighth nationally in the list of best managed firms over the past three years, has renewed its commitment to rewarding those who make a difference to the company and drive it into new areas.

Associate Solicitors Ian Dawes and Annabelle Vaughan have been appointed Partners – Ian to head up the Dispute Resolution Team in Southampton while Annabelle will run the specialist Court of Protection Team in Portsmouth.

A new Partner in Dispute Resolution, Mark James, has joined Coffin Mew from Rix and Kay. Mark, who specialises in construction and sports law, will work across the firm’s South Coast offices.

In addition, Associate Solicitor Ed Bible has joined the Southampton-based Insolvency and Restructuring team from Brethertons LLP. He is a former President of the Insolvency Practitioners Association.

Roz Wyeth has been promoted to Associated Chartered Legal Executive in the Wills, Trusts and Probate team based in Portsmouth but also covering Gosport, Fareham and Stubbington.

Brighton-based solicitor Mirren McGinley has been promoted to Associate Solicitor. Her wealth of experience will be in demand as a member of the company’s specialist Commercial Property team in Sussex.
