Celebrating a fantastic year for Coffin Mew at The Law Society Excellence Awards
On Wednesday evening we attended the Law Society Excellence awards in London where we were shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year (medium sized). Despite not winning on the night CEO Miles Brown explains how proud he is to see the firm being recognised at this national level and how its continuing to inspire our ambitious team.
I’m immensely proud of everyone at the firm, we’ve had a fantastic year and getting shortlisted for law Firm of the year was a huge credit to our hardworking staff. As The Law Society President Christina Blacklaws said in her recent article for the Law Society Gazette “There are more than 9,000 firms and 140,000 solicitors in England and Wales and to be shortlisted for an Excellence Award is to be recognised as being among the best of the best”. I’m therefore delighted that Coffin Mew are receiving this kind of recognition.
When entering the awards this year we had been working hard on a new strategy, setting our ambitious growth plans, developing our employee value proposition and had successfully passed two excellent Lexcel Inspections post-merger,so we had lots of really exciting initiatives and achievements to put forwards. We were therefore thrilled when the shortlisted was announced and we were on it!
We celebrated in style on Wednesday with ten of our staff attending the glittering ceremony, here’s a few (before) pictures of our team on the night.
Congratulations again to all of the shortlisted firms and winners and here’s to next year!
