The children’s charity, Rose Road Association has appointed Doug Miller onto their Board of Trustees. Doug Miller, a Partner at Coffin Mew Solicitors has a long standing relationship with Rose Road Association, having supported their fundraising activities for over three years. Doug currently litigates clinical negligence claims on behalf of children who have suffered brain damage.

Rose Road offers residential respite, short breaks, and community services to take the pressure off families coping with complex disabilities. This is a service which supports families and has a wider community impact. Coffin Mew sponsored the Rose Road Triathlon in September in which Doug and seven team members of the Coffin Mew team participated. This year’s triathlon will have raised £10,000 for the charity.

Doug is delighted to have been voted onto the Board of Trustees and will now have the opportunity to contribute to the vision and progress of the charity. Doug says:

The role of Rose Road is important in our community. They help 3500 families across the south giving well needed respite to children with the most complex disabilities. In negligence claims I can only help those children where their disability is caused by negligent clinical treatment. Rose Road helps all children who have a need for their service, regardless of fault.

Con Attridge, Chairman of the Board of Trustees said:

We are delighted that Doug is able to come onto the Board and become a Trustee. Each Trustee brings new ideas and experience to our team which makes us stronger and ready for the challenges ahead.
